Code Factory’s screen readers consists of software applications installed on a mobile phone or personal digital assistant (PDA), which allow you to use the device even if you cannot read the visual screen. Information displayed on the screen is rendered in synthesized speech output generated using text-to-speech (TTS) technology and routed through the device’s speaker or a headset. Screen contents can also be presented in Braille if the mobile phone or PDA is connected to a Braille device with a refreshable Braille display. Mobile Magnifier for Symbian Phones is a full-screen magnification application for Symbian-based mobile phones that enlarges and improves readability of screen contents, detects areas of interest to make them more visible, and offers hotkeys to obtain a magnified view of screen icons conveying nontextual information. This access solution: Enlarges screen contents in ten variable levels of magnification. Smoothes curves and edges of magnified fonts and graphics. Offers seven different color schemes for better visual contrast. Makes the text cursor and highlighted items easier to track on the display. Magnifies the whole screen or just areas of interest. Allows easy panning and scrolling of screen contents even in magnified view. Functions either as a standalone product or with Mobile Speak providing speech output. Mobile Magnifier is installed when Mobile Speak is installed, thus it can provide speech output and screen magnification at the same time if desired.
